Leagues:  The league will consist of 14 franchises split into two 7-team divisions.   You will play each team once.  Except the protection league plays in division or out of division each week. Each roster can have up to 19 active players in any combination of positions, except you must carry  2 and only 2 kickers and 2 and only 2 defenses; no more, no less.  The rest can be any QB,RB,WR,TE combination.    The most QB's on active roster  =  5 (five).  This rule is to keep teams from hogging QB's and forcing teams to make trades.

Injured Reserve: There is NO “injured reserve” in CFSL football except for the protection leagues.

Player Positions: All players may only be used at their designated CFSL positions.  A running back may NOT play wide receiver.  First priority for positions will be the CFSL draft sheet.  If not on the sheet, we will use The Sporting News Pro Football Magazine.

Trades: All trades are free of charge.  Team owners are free to contact each other regarding trades. (Please be sure to take into account what time zone you are calling.)

Once a trade is agreed upon, BOTH OWNERS must call in (or email) the same trade. (818) 891-1246.  If the trade is confirmed on the transaction report on Friday, owners may use the new players immediately.  Multiple-player deals are allowed.  However, you can receive no more than four (4) players in any week via trades.  You can trade away any number of players.  No money, free agent picks or player to be named later trades are allowed.  The commissioner has the power to veto any trade deemed unfair or not to be in the best interest of the league.  A non-contending team cannot trade their best player to a contending team without EQUAL compensation being returned.

Trading Deadline: Thursday, November 01, 2007   10:00 AM pacific time*****

Lineups:  Each week you may start 1 QB, (2 RB’s and 3 WR’s) or (1RB and 4 WR’s) 1 Kicker, 1 Defensive Team, and 1 backup QB.  The line-up call-in (or email) deadline is kickoff of the first game of the week. ONCE YOU CALL IN (or email) YOUR LINEUP OR TRANSACTION, YOU CAN NOT CALL BACK (or email) AND CHANGE IT.

That can be Thursday, Saturday, but mostly Sunday.  Late calls (or emails) are not excepted.  Do not wait to the last minute to call (or email). All calls (or emails) after the deadline will not be processed and the previous weeks’ line-up will be used.       >>>>TIGHT ENDS MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR WIDE RECEIVERS!
OT Player: For leagues using the OT player, he can only be a QB, RB, WR, or TE not used in your starting lineup.  Kickers and Defenses are not allowed.

Backup QB rule: Your backup QB will be used if your starting QB does not have 1 rushing attempt nor 1 passing attempt in that game.

Waivers: Once a player is waived, he is a free agent and may be signed the following week.  THERE ARE NO CONDITIONAL OR ‘IF’ TRANSACTIONS OF ANY KIND.

Free Agents: All free agent signings are free of charge.  Any player not on a league roster is a free agent.  Every week, each team may sign one and only one free agent.  If two or more teams try to sign the same player, the team with the worst record will get that player.  If those teams have the same record, total points scored for the year will be next tiebreaker.  You may list up to and no more than five (5) players in order of preference when calling (or emailing) in your free agent picks.  You cannot call (or email) back and change any transaction.  However, you may call (or email) back and add trades or add free agents if you originally listed less than 5.

Make sure you have room on your roster when adding players or making multi-player trades.

Scoring: Your team’s score will be compared to that of your weekly opponent.  A game that ends in a tie will result in a tie during the regular season. In the B-League there will be an OT (over time) player submitted.  That overtime player can be any player not in your starting lineup and not a kicker or not a defense. If two teams are tied, the overtime player fantasy points for the week will be compared.  If still tied, the game will result in a tie.

In the playoffs, the highest individual scorer of your starters will break the tie not including defense. If still tied, the next highest individual scorer etc.

Playoffs: The two division winners and the next best four teams (by record) will make the playoffs.  The division winners will be seeded #1 and #2 and receive a bye in the first round.  Wild card #3 will play #6 and #4 will play #5 with the lowest seed left playing #1 the following week.

Home Field advantage for the playoffs: The higher seed will get 1 point “HFA”.  There will be no “HFA” for the finals. IF THE HIGHER SEED HAS A WORSE RECORD, THEN ‘0’ HFA.   If two teams have identical records (ties are worth ½ Win and ½ loss), the higher seed still gets the HFA.

Team Owner Notes: When you call in your line-up or transactions, please speak up and use first and last names and team names.  Lineups MUST be separate from transaction calls (or emails)! ONCE YOU CALL IN (or email) YOUR LINEUP OR TRANSACTION, YOU CAN NOT CALL BACK (or email) AND CHANGE IT.

Leave your line-up in the order on the call-in sheet.  QB, Backup QB, RB, WR/TE,  K, Defense.

Always give a backup QB if you have more than 2 on your roster.

These leagues are for fun.  They were not set up to see which team owner could rip off another team owner in a trade.  I do not enjoy it when I have to veto a trade.  Remember quality over quantity.

When calling in transactions please use call-in sheet format.  Thank you!
