We are protecting 7(seven) players.

Those 7 can be any combination of players on your roster and players obtained in trades, except, you must protect ALL players obtained in trades.

One transaction deadline for off-season transactions: Thursday, March 206, 2008.  10:00 AM PT.

If you are late, you will protect one less player.  No exceptions or excuses.

You must leave your protected players as well as all your trades by this deadline.

No free agents picks.  The results of all these transactions will be up on the web and Saturday afternoon.

Once you call (email) in your transactions and protected players you may not call (email) back and change any part of them.  Your protection players can be any combination of your current roster and players obtained in trades.   However, you MUST protect all players obtained in these trades.

No money or players to be named later will be allowed.

You may trade your first and second round draft picks for player(s).  There is a limit to how many draft picks you can have in the first two rounds, 4 (four).   If you end up with more then 4 picks in the first two rounds, I will put all the picks into a hat and draw out however many I need to get you to 4 picks.  That pick(s) will be eliminated.  Even if it is your first round pick.

When you trade a draft pick for a player you can protect one extra player. So you could protect 9 players if you trade your two draft picks for players as long as you do not get back any draft picks from those teams you traded your draft picks to.  If when I tabulate all transactions, you have exchanged draft picks with a team, (even in separate deals) the draft picks cancel out and you do not protect the extra player(s).

You can trade players for players without involving draft picks as long as you remember that you must protect all players obtained in these trades.

Trades must be fair.  I will veto any trades deemed unfair or not in the best interest of the league.   You may not make any trades unless your team fee is in my possession.  Remember when trading that the team that gets the better player, almost always gets the better of the deal.  Think about what the trade does for the other team.  Maybe it is not a good idea to trade that player to that team.

NEW!- Once a player is traded from team A to team B, that player cannot be traded back from team B to team A in the same year, including the off-season trades.  That only applies when the said player has only gone from Team A to Team B and back again without being waived or traded to another team somewhere in between.

You cannot protect a player who has never played a game in MLB....."the rookie rule".

That last place team will draft first and the league champion last in every round.

For the Protection League (C-League), you have ONE IR spot.   It can be used if the player is listed on a reputable site as being out at least 8 weeks or longer.   6 to 8 weeks does not qualify.

Draft day is Saturday, March 25, 2006 at ?????? Pacific time

There will be 21 rounds in the draft since we are protecting 7 players.
